Reimagined as a Floor Lamp

UNDERCOVER: A Pillar of Japanese Fashion

Founded in 1990 by designer Jun Takahashi and a friend while they were students at Bunka Fashion College, UNDERCOVER debuted at Tokyo Collection in Autumn/Winter 1994-95. The brand joined Paris Collection in 2002. In 2013, the first secondary lines, "JohnUNDERCOVER" and "SueUNDERCOVER," were launched, targeting a broader demographic. Furthermore, since 2016, the menswear line "the Shepherd UNDERCOVER," born from the idea of "clothes I want to wear now," has been released irregularly. Its conceptual and original worldview has garnered global attention as something truly unique.

MEDICOM TOY has previously collaborated with UNDERCOVER on sofubi figures like "UNDERMAN," and the "GILAPPLE LIGHT" and "HAMBURGER LAMP." This time, the brand's icon, the UNDERCOVER BEAR, is presented as a floor lamp. This character, a bear parent and child with a distinctive gaze, embodies a punk attitude within its inherent cuteness.

Standing approximately 500mm tall and realized through integrated blow molding, its form exudes a powerful presence. Being battery-powered and portable, with adjustable brightness (featuring a dimmer switch), it provides the perfect ambient light for any setting. Why not find solace in its gentle, soft white glow?
