On Saturday, August 23, 2025, MEDICOM TOY will open a new directly managed store, "MEDICOM TOY TOKYO," at the former site of "project 1/6" in Udagawa-cho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. Here, we introduce its concept and opening commemorative merchandise.

"MEDICOM TOY TOKYO" is MEDICOM TOY's new directly managed store, born as a "laboratory that continues to question toys," inheriting the spirit of "project 1/6," which has been giving form to the impulse of "I want this!" since its opening in 1996.

Toys are evolving beyond mere objects for "play" and "collection" into entities that influence people's lifestyles and values. At "MEDICOM TOY TOKYO," we will re-examine the ever-expanding significance of toys at the heart of Tokyo, an unfinished experimental city, and transmit new possibilities to the world.

With a sales floor approximately 25% larger than "project 1/6" and a more open atmosphere, the store features a massive 8-meter long "experiment bench" at its center. Aiming to be an open laboratory that goes beyond a traditional antenna shop, it will give form to experimental products and ideas, and the chemical reactions born from the real atmosphere of Tokyo.

Anticipation is high for the unpredictable developments at "MEDICOM TOY TOKYO," where "toys" give rise to "questions," and "questions" give rise to "toys." The opening commemorative merchandise, the first installment, features a collection of items available only here. With the exception of some products, they will be released or available via lottery from Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the store. Let's go witness the beginning of MEDICOM TOY's new challenge!
