The Motorola Edge Series Arrives in Japan for the First Time
Motorola Mobility Japan LLC launched the smartphones "motorola edge20" and "motorola edge20 fusion" on Friday, October 22nd. Hidetoshi Nakata, former captain of the Japan national soccer team, appears in the visuals.

Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, Motorola is a company with a history of pioneering the mobile communications industry. It invented protocols and technologies that enable mobile communication, such as Motorola mobile devices and base stations, and has been solving challenges in new ways for 80 years.
Motorola has released the "motorola edge series," specifically the "motorola edge20" and "motorola edge20 fusion," as its new Android smartphone models, available from Friday, October 22nd. This marks the first launch of the "motorola edge series" in Japan.
The "motorola edge20" is a 5G smartphone boasting Motorola's thinnest and lightest design ever, with a minimum thickness of approximately 6.99mm and a weight of around 163g. Despite its slim and light profile, it features Motorola's fastest-ever 144Hz refresh rate on a large 6.7-inch HDR10+ OLED display, offering the enjoyment of one billion colors.
Additionally, its triple camera system includes a 108-megapixel camera with optical 3x zoom, designed to capture moments as they are. It also supports 4K video recording, enabling crisp photos even from a distance and bright shots in low light.
The "motorola edge20 fusion" features a 108-megapixel camera system with Ultra Pixel technology, enhancing light sensitivity by nine times in low light conditions for vibrant, detailed photos. It also boasts a vivid 6.7-inch HDR10+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate for beautifully smooth visuals.
Furthermore, it includes a large 5,000mAh battery, providing extended usage on a single charge.
Prior to the release of the "motorola edge20" and "motorola edge20 fusion," brand history movies and corporate visuals featuring Mr. Nakata were also unveiled.
The brand history movie showcases a collaboration between Mr. Nakata, who is actively pursuing challenges in various fields including promoting Japanese traditional industries and culture like sake both domestically and globally, and Motorola, which celebrates its 93rd anniversary and continues to take on challenges worldwide and in Japan. The movie reflects on and introduces Motorola's history of challenges.
