An Advanced Model for Enjoying Simulation

The Approach R50's standout feature is its three high-speed cameras, which display measurement data directly on the device's screen without the need for external projection or control devices like smartphones or tablets. These cameras precisely capture the moment of impact between club and ball, providing detailed data on 20 metrics, including ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, and clubhead speed. This allows players to visually review the impact of each shot, not just through numbers but also via video.
Measured metrics include ball data such as ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, carry distance, and total distance. For the club, it displays information crucial for improving swing accuracy, like clubhead speed, attack angle, club path, and smash factor (ratio of ball speed to clubhead speed).

The device boasts a large, 10-inch high-resolution color display, exceptional for a launch monitor. Users can easily analyze data and enjoy simulated golf rounds.

The display is highly visible, showing real-time flight and swing data, making it ideal for improving practice efficiency. Its simple design and intuitive operation make it accessible to everyone.

Additionally, it includes Garmin's proprietary golf simulator, 'Home Tee Hero,' allowing users to play virtual rounds on approximately 43,000 golf courses worldwide (*). With 98% of Japanese courses covered, you can simulate playing on real courses from anywhere. The device can also connect to a projector via HDMI for an immersive, large-screen experience.
*A paid subscription is required to use the simulation golf feature.
Weighing just 4.1kg, it's designed for portability. The included dedicated carry case makes it easy to transport indoors or outdoors. Setup is simple, with an integrated display eliminating the need for complex wiring or pairing with other devices. It's convenient for use in various settings, such as indoor golf studios or driving ranges.
Furthermore, it's compatible with third-party simulators like GS Pro and Awesome Golf (*), enabling diverse practice routines tailored to your skill level and training objectives. This connectivity allows for flexible use of multiple simulator platforms.
*Requires separate subscriptions for each service and a device with the third-party simulator installed.
The Approach R50 provides immediate data essential for game improvement. Its only potential drawback might be the risk of becoming so engrossed in play that one forgets the principle of playing at a good pace.
