Garmin Japan introduces the "Approach Z30," a laser rangefinder long-awaited by golf enthusiasts. This new product integrates with Garmin's golf GPS watches and apps, allowing for real-time sharing of measured distances.

The "Approach Z30" provides valuable on-course information when paired with compatible Garmin products like golf watches. Notably, it displays the distance to the front and back edges of the green from the pin within the laser rangefinder's viewfinder, enabling more precise shots. The golf GPS watch also visually represents the laser-measured distance with an arc line, offering a clear understanding of the target.

It achieves long-range measurement up to a 400-yard pin flag. With 6x magnification, it can measure distances to fine details of the pin and fairway. A key feature is the display of the pin's vertical position within the viewfinder. After capturing the pin on the green, a vibration activates, and the relative distance to the pin is shown on a highly visible red transparent OLED display, ensuring readability in any weather condition.

Furthermore, it features a PlaysLike distance function, displaying the recommended stroke distance adjusted for elevation changes within the viewfinder. When connected to a compatible watch, it can also account for wind and weather conditions, helping players select the optimal shot.

Measured distances are transmitted and displayed on Garmin watches and apps, allowing for an overall view of target distances on the course. Distances on the fairway are shown with a red arc line, while those on the green are indicated with a yellow arc line, making them intuitively understandable. The pin position on the connected watch is also automatically corrected, supporting highly accurate play.

Naturally, it functions excellently as a standalone laser rangefinder. It boasts impressive performance with a clear red transparent OLED display and a measurement range of up to 1,300 yards. The tournament mode is also included, disabling assist features like elevation adjustments for competitive play. Additionally, a built-in magnetic mount allows it to be attached to a cart during transit, reducing carrying burden. Its power-efficient design provides approximately one year of use on a single battery (depending on usage frequency), minimizing concerns about battery life during play.
