The Second Installment of "BLACKTAG," Equipment for Capturing Great Photos

A Camera Bag That Embodies the "Ideal for Everyday Use by Photographers"

"I believe it will be a good partner for bridal photographers who must shoot in black suits," says Motoyuki Kobayashi, a professional photographer who conceived and requested this bag. Map Camera has released the "BLACK TAG" TYPE288 camera bag, the second item from "BLACKTAG," a brand that develops products in response to the demands of professional photographers active on the front lines.

The Color "Black," Which Becomes the Photographer's Shadow and Supports a Wonderful Photo Life

A bag that professional photographers can take to formal occasions such as photo exhibitions, client meetings, and parties— This was the concept behind the all-leather camera bag "TYPE288."

For this second installment in the series, the bag was realized based on a request from Motoyuki Kobayashi, a "youth photographer" who continuously captures the youth of various people, a fashion photographer who focuses on uniform culture and wedding dress culture, and who has also made his debut as a film director in recent years. The theme was "What is the ideal bag for a photographer's everyday use?"

Both the body and strap are unified in leather. The strap is a slim 1-inch (25mm) width designed to fit snugly when worn cross-body, and it comes with a detachable shoulder pad. A key feature is the use of silver-shining metal zippers on the all-leather body.

Furthermore, it is equipped with a strap for rolling luggage on the back, a compartment for a 13-inch laptop, and bottle pockets on both sides. The front pocket has four sections for pens and small items.

The TYPE288 camera bag is designed not for tightly packing equipment, but for storing it with ample space, serving as an essential tool for capturing great photos. The initial limited edition comes with a complimentary original print (digital print) by Mr. Kobayashi.

A New Proposal to Enhance Your Leica: The "Bottom GUARD" Protects the Body with Color

To further enjoy your Leica, Map Camera proposes "Bottom GUARD," a leather appliqué that attaches to the bottom of the camera body. This accessory is exclusively for the Leica M (Typ240) and can be attached with double-sided tape. It eases the tension of placing your Leica on a desk or other surface, an experience everyone has likely had, and protects it from scratches. It is available in three chic colors: black, gray, and bordeaux.

This time, we use elephant leather, a rare and precious material known for its beautiful grain and soft, elastic texture. Its unique deep wrinkles and grain significantly enhance the Leica's appeal. This set, paired with a hand strap that allows you to enjoy its luxurious feel and texture, is perfect for giving your cherished camera a unique personality.
