"MUJI to Relax" App Automatically Generates Music Based on Heart Rate

"MUJI to Relax" is a Ryohin Keikaku campaign themed "Making what feels good into shape," which combines digital elements and products to offer users optimal relaxation.

The campaign site introduces various ways to use the "Fit-for-me sofa" using video, allowing users to enjoy footage of diverse usage scenarios.

App Also Compatible with Smartwatches

The "MUJI to Relax" app measures heart rate using the smartphone's flash and camera. It automatically generates relaxing music optimized for the user through an infinite combination of sounds based on the user's heart rate and time (Compatible devices: iOS 7 or later / Android 4.0.3 or later).

The operating procedure is: ① Put on headphones and launch the app. ② Tap the plus button in the upper left corner. ③ Measure heart rate with the camera and light to automatically generate music.

The app is also compatible with smartwatches, allowing real-time heart rate measurement and control of functions such as sound selection and stopping when used in conjunction with a smartwatch (Android app only; smartwatch compatibility is limited to models that can measure heart rate. *Smartwatch-compatible version of the app will be released soon).
