The "Leica M-P": Evolved While Inheriting the M System Tradition

Based on the "Leica M-P", the "Leica M-P Safari Set" features a special olive green safari look and includes the lens "Leica Summicron-M f2/35 mm ASPH.", a classical metal lens hood, a high-quality cognac-colored carrying strap, and the "Leica SD Card/Credit Card Holder".

The top cover and base plate are finished in a durable and resilient olive green enamel, offering a secure grip and a distinctive appearance. The body is clad in olive green leather, with silver chrome finishes on controls such as the shutter dial, which elegantly complement the "Leica Summicron-M f2/35 mm ASPH." and the classical metal lens hood.

In homage to previous olive green finished models that are now collector's items, the top cover is engraved with the classic "Leica" logo and the words "Leica Camera AG" and "Wetzlar Germany".

The included leather strap and the "Leica SD Card/Credit Card Holder", capable of storing up to three SD cards, are made of high-quality cognac-colored genuine leather (cowhide), exuding a refined and elegant atmosphere that creates a unified look unique to this set.

Collaboration Model with Lenny Kravitz Evokes Vintage Leicas

Meanwhile, the special limited edition model "Leica M-P "CORRESPONDENT" By Lenny Kravitz", a collaboration with Lenny Kravitz, is based on the full-frame sensor rangefinder digital camera "Leica M-P (Typ 240)" and finished in a classic aesthetic. The camera body comes as a set with two special edition lenses: the "Leica Summicron-M f2/35 mm ASPH." and the "Leica Summilux-M f1.4/50 mm ASPH.". Furthermore, it includes an original "Made in Germany" case handcrafted by artisans, and will be released in a worldwide limited edition of 125 sets.

The collaboration with Lenny Kravitz was realized through his passionate dedication to photography. Kravitz's first camera, at the age of 21, was his father's beloved Leicaflex, which he inherited.

The camera's top cover and base plate on the "Leica M-P Set "CORRESPONDENT" By Lenny Kravitz", finished in a glossy black enamel, and the two included lenses, feature worn-off coating in places as if used for many years, a distinctive design that recalls his cherished vintage Leicas.




This worn-in impression is hand-finished by artisans, adding a unique "vintage feel" to each product. The camera body is clad in high-quality, abrasion-resistant, glossy black snakeskin, and matching leather strap and wrist strap are included.

Additionally, "FLASH", a photography book by Lenny Kravitz, was released in February this year by publisher teNeues. All photographs featured were taken with the Leica M system, adding a new chapter to the history of rock photography.
