INFOBAR A03: Born from a Lifestyle Design Perspective
Special Content Series 'LIFESTYLE × INFOBAR' Launched
Twelve years since the series’ inception, the latest model of the mobile device “INFOBAR,” designed by product designer Naoto Fukasawa, has been released. Its concept is “Living surrounded by design, 24 hours a day.” We introduce its full scope, along with the content developed for its release.

The True Value of INFOBAR A03, Experienced by Lifestyle Connoisseurs
The “INFOBAR” series, as the first installment of the “au design project,” was launched in 2003 with product designer Naoto Fukasawa. At a time when folding phones were mainstream, it garnered attention for its release as a straight-type model.
On February 20th, the “INFOBAR A03,” part of au’s 2015 Spring collection, was released. It’s a compact smartphone that carries forward the design of its predecessors.
Fukasawa states, “When I first designed INFOBAR, I had already anticipated the shift from mobile phones to smartphones.” The design’s seamless transition to modern devices is likely due to its well-established concept and foresight regarding change.
The Living Spaces of Leading Designers Revealed
To commemorate this release, a special web content series, “LIFESTYLE × INFOBAR,” has been launched. Under the concept of “Living surrounded by design, 24 hours a day,” lifestyle connoisseurs showcase the synergy between their personal workspaces and the INFOBAR A03.
Featured are Naoto Fukasawa, who designed the INFOBAR, along with fashion designers such as Akira Minagawa of “mina perhonen,” who created related accessories for the recent launch event, Michiko Nakayama of “MUVEIL,” and Kunihiko Morinaga of “ANREALAGE.”
Collaborations with lifestyle shops like “COMPLEX UNIVERSAL FURNITURE SUPPLY” and “CIBONE” are also presented.
Within the content, the focus is on each individual's cherished items within their interior design. Hints for a richer life can be gleaned from each element that shapes the atmosphere of the space. The series allows viewers to appreciate the appeal of the INFOBAR A03, which harmoniously blends into these unique living environments, from the perspective of lifestyle design.
