The "SUUNTO ESSENTIAL COLLECTION" is released

SUUNTO, a measurement instrument brand celebrating its 79th anniversary. The "SUUNTO Essential Collection," a line of premium outdoor watches, features six models inspired by the simple yet functional silhouette of the "M-311 Field Compass," originally released in 1936. They are now available at authorized SUUNTO dealers and watch retailers nationwide.

A tribute to the world's first liquid-filled field compass

SUUNTO is a measurement instrument brand that supports athletes with highly accurate measurement technology, releasing sports watches such as field compasses, diving computers, and GPS watches.

The "Suunto Essential Collection," now available first in Asia, was designed by Timo Ilomäki as a tribute to the "M-311," the world's first liquid-filled field compass released at the company's founding.

The Suunto Essential Collection comprises six models. The casing is crafted from AISI 316L stainless steel, the same material used in high-end mechanical watches. The watch face features sapphire crystal glass, known for its durability and clarity.

The leather straps are made from naturally vegetable-tanned leather, while the nylon straps are custom-made textile from France, designed exclusively for this collection, setting it apart from previous SUUNTO offerings.

Handcrafted by specialists at SUUNTO's Finnish headquarters

The Suunto Essential Collection is equipped with SUUNTO's long-honed precision measurement functions, including an altimeter, barometer, thermometer, and electronic compass, as well as a weather alarm to predict sudden changes and sunrise/sunset time displays.

Furthermore, it incorporates earth tones derived from the natural colors of minerals such as copper, gold, iron, and carbon, creating unique hues. As a top-tier outdoor watch, it boasts materials, design, and functions befitting the term "premium."

As the Suunto Essential Collection is assembled by hand, one unit at a time, by specialists at SUUNTO's headquarters in Finland, daily production is limited. A launch in North America and Europe is planned for early summer.
