2-in-1 Cyclone Stick Cleaner "ORA" World Premiere



In 1971, BLACK+DECKER, the world's largest power tool manufacturer, collaborated with NASA to produce a cordless drill for lunar excavation during the Apollo program. In 1979, they applied this technology to launch the world's first cordless handheld vacuum cleaner, introducing the concept of cordless to the home appliance industry. Now, BLACK+DECKER has announced "ORA," a cordless cyclone stick cleaner. It is scheduled for release in mid-November, ahead of the rest of the world, at major electronics retailers in Japan.

The Concept: "Optimal Runtime and Suction Power"



The "ORA" cyclone stick cleaner was jointly developed by teams in Japan and the UK, based on research into Japanese and European living environments. The concept is "Optimal Runtime &OptimizedRuntime &Airflow."

It features a compact, original cyclone system that efficiently separates dust into 12 chambers, delivering industry-leading dust collection power. It offers up to 25 minutes of runtime (in power brush mode), based on average cleaning times, and its high-efficiency centrifugal separation system maintains over 99.9% of suction power even when the dustbin is full.

Focus on the One-Touch Detachable Handy Unit


ORA features a newly developed power brush with three types of brushes of varying thickness and stiffness, along with a rubber component, and a specially shaped floor head that utilizes the gap between the brush and the floor. This allows for quick suction of everything from large debris like cereal and macaroni to fine house dust in a single pass, and it can clean close to walls with virtually no missed spots.

Furthermore, the one-touch detachable handy unit, when combined with the integrated telescopic hose and five nozzle accessories such as the fabric & pet nozzle, can handle a wide range of cleaning tasks, from high places like air conditioners to under beds, car interiors, futons, and pet hair.

The dust case detaches easily from the main unit. As it's a cyclone system, there's no need for paper filters. The dust case and sponge filter are washable, making maintenance simple. All accessories can be neatly stored together with the stand, which is a convenient feature.
