A Global Limited Edition of Just 500 Units!
It has been 100 years since Leica's inception, beginning with Oskar Barnack's development of the first 35mm format camera, the "Ur-Leica," in 1914 while working at Ernst Leitz Optische Werke in Wetzlar, Germany. This marked the start of Leica photography, utilizing the convenient 35mm film (36x24mm) format.
The "Leica M" is a popular model, setting a new standard for rangefinder cameras. It boasts a newly developed CMOS sensor and incorporates features to aid focusing, a live view function, and full HD video recording capabilities, making it the most versatile M-system camera to date.
A significant development is the ability to use Leica R-mount lenses, a valuable part of Leica's heritage, with an M-system camera for the first time.
Available in Silver Chrome and Black Paint Finishes
The Leica M achieves ultimate image quality and rapid response through the synergy of its newly developed, effective 24-megapixel CMOS sensor, the "LEICA MAX 24MP sensor," and the high-performance image processor, "LEICA MAESTRO."
The live view function displays the image captured through the lens on the rear LCD monitor, allowing users to preview the final image, including depth of field, exposure, and color rendition, before shooting.
