A Personal Weather Station from a French Innovation Company
The "Weather Station" Becomes a Modern "Stevenson Screen"
Understand your immediate environment (weather) and global meteorological changes, all from the comfort of your home.―The "Weather Station" from French company Netatmo automatically measures temperature, humidity, CO2 levels, and more, supporting the creation of a comfortable personal environment. This latest IoT (Internet of Things) device syncs with smart devices. A rain gauge and additional indoor modules are also available, sold at Apple Stores, amazon.co.jp, and electronics shops.

Supporting a Comfortable Living Environment and Lifestyle
Consisting of two modules, one for outdoor and one for indoor use, the Weather Station measures environmental data for both locations. These measurements are then transferred via Wi-Fi to an app, allowing you to view them on your smartphone, tablet, or computer. It is a personal weather station designed for the modern home.
It measures indoor temperature, humidity, and CO2 levels, advising on optimal ventilation times. It also monitors outdoor weather conditions in real-time, helping you predict the best gear for outings or leisure activities, thereby supporting the creation of a healthy and comfortable indoor environment.
Ideal for Homes with Babies or Pets
One notable feature of the Weather Station's measurements is its CO2 (carbon dioxide) level monitoring. While outdoor CO2 levels are consistently above 400 ppm, indoor levels, which fluctuate significantly with human activity, typically range between 400 ppm and 5000 ppm.
Levels exceeding 2000 ppm can cause drowsiness and mild headaches. Ideally, ventilation should occur when levels reach 1000 ppm. The Weather Station alerts you by turning yellow and sending a notification via its native app when CO2 reaches 1000 ppm. It turns red and sends a second alert when levels reach 2000 ppm.
A World Map Sharing Big Data
Furthermore, by utilizing a system called IFTTT (If This Then That), the Weather Station allows you to select and use pre-made applets, such as "Send a text message when the outdoor temperature drops below 0°C" or "Notify me by email when the noise level in the children's room exceeds a certain threshold." You can also create your own applets and register them on the IFTTT website.
Additionally, data from outdoor units, with user permission, is publicly available from Weather Stations covering over 150 countries worldwide. This information can be viewed through Netatmo's free web app (Weather Map: displays temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, and a one-week forecast at http://www.netatmo.com/ja-JP/weathermap). This allows you to get an overview of data from Weather Stations across the globe on a map.
