Activity Tracker "Active Shift Edge" Syncs with iPhone App
OMRON HEALTHCARE has launched the "OMRON Activity Tracker HJA-700T Active Shift Edge," an activity tracker that automatically sets realistic activity goals, on June 20 (Friday). The dedicated iPhone app "Active Shift," designed to support goal achievement, was also released simultaneously.

Features to Boost Motivation and Make Exercise Enjoyable
The Active Shift Edge automatically sets a realistic weekly activity goal tailored to the user, based on activity levels measured the previous week. The activity goal is displayed using OMRON's proprietary "Active Level" metric. One level represents approximately 20 minutes of normal walking, with goals set on an active level scale from 23 to 99. In addition to step count, it measures brisk walking steps, stairs climbed, distance, and calories burned.
When 50% of the daily goal is achieved, a message like "Go" appears, and upon reaching 10,000 steps or achieving the goal, "Good job!" is displayed. Simultaneously, the top of the device illuminates, intended to boost motivation.
The main unit can store data for up to 14 days. Equipped with Bluetooth communication, measurement data is automatically transferred simply by launching the dedicated iPhone app "Active Shift." This app allows users to view graphs showing their daily exercise status at a glance and check the estimated amount of exercise needed to achieve their goals.
The slim and compact device features a clip-type design, allowing it to be easily attached to a chest pocket. It charges in approximately 3 hours when connected to a computer's USB port. A single full charge provides about 5 days of use. It is available in four colors: black, red, blue, and green, with a price of open.
