Introducing the "K845BT" Bluetooth Wireless Headphones

AKG is set to release the wireless model of its reference closed-back over-ear headphones, the "K545", which launched in November 2013 to critical acclaim, in early February.

AKG: Where Premium Quality Meets Convenience
From Vienna, Austria, the city of music, comes AKG. The "K545" headphones, launched last November, have been met with great reception. Now, their wireless counterpart, the new "K845BT", has been announced. Retaining the studio-quality sound and premium build of the K545, these new headphones offer the stress-free experience of wireless listening.

Equipped with AKG's proprietary large-aperture 50mm drivers, they deliver dynamic, wide-range sound reproduction. The ear pads utilize slow-rebound cushioning for enhanced sound isolation and improved audio quality, along with protein leather to reduce uncomfortable heat and moisture.



The new headphones feature an integrated microphone, enabling hands-free calls when connected wirelessly to a smartphone. A built-in remote allows for volume control, playback, pause, and answering/ending calls. Furthermore, NFC support allows for simple setup with automatic PIN code entry for immediate wireless music playback. For NFC-equipped smartphones, a single touch on the housing top is all it takes to pair.

A detachable cable means they can also be used as conventional wired headphones when the battery runs out. It's remarkable that despite these added features, the unit weighs just 292g, a mere 22g increase over the wired K545's 270g. The retail price is open, but the street price is ¥29,800, a ¥5,000 difference compared to the K545's ¥24,800.
