Apple announced the new iPad Air and iPad mini Retina Display models on Wednesday, October 23rd.

The iPad is thinner and lighter
Apple announced the new iPad Air. The bezel around the display is 43 percent narrower, and the device's thickness has been reduced by 20 percent, from 9.4mm to 7.5mm. It also weighs approximately 450g, making it lighter. The device's volume has been reduced by 24 percent compared to the previous generation. It is equipped with the A7 CPU, offering twice the performance of its predecessor, and the GPU, required for graphics processing, is an astonishing 72 times faster than the original iPad. It achieves up to 10 hours of battery life. The release date is Friday, November 1st.
The iPad mini Retina Display model was also announced simultaneously. This new iPad mini Retina Display model packs all 3.1 million pixels (2048x1536 pixels) of the 9.7-inch iPad Air into its 7.9-inch display, achieving a density of 326 pixels per inch. This model is scheduled for release in November.
