A new series of compact digital cameras, the Leica C.


Leica Camera AG announces the launch of the Leica C, a new series of compact digital cameras that fuses advanced digital technology with a stylish, elegant design. This marks the first time Leica digital cameras will feature NFC (Near Field Communication) and Wi-Fi, enabling connectivity with smartphones and tablets.

Focus on the beautiful camera body design, crafted by Audi's design team.

The Leica C is a new compact digital camera featuring a high-performance 7x zoom lens, the Leica DC Vario-Summicron f2.0-5.9/6-42.8mm ASPH., which, combined with its large 12.1-megapixel image sensor, captures exquisite detail. Its stylish design was conceived by Audi's design team.



For the first time in a Leica digital camera, NFC (Near Field Communication) and Wi-Fi are integrated. By installing the iOS/Android app "Leica C Image Shuttle" on a smartphone or tablet, users can wirelessly transfer still images and videos to their devices via Wi-Fi. The camera can also be remotely controlled from a smartphone or tablet using Wi-Fi.




Furthermore, it is equipped with excellent functions and performance, including full HD video recording capabilities to expand creative expression, a 3.0-inch LCD monitor for comfortable subject checking during shooting and image review after shooting, and a viewfinder that allows for precise composition even in bright conditions.

Dedicated accessories also designed by Audi's design team.

The Leica C is available in two new concept body colors: Light Gold and Dark Red. The accessories, crafted from high-quality materials that complement the camera's stylish design, were also designed by Audi's design team, just like the camera body.

The Leica C dedicated accessories will be released sequentially. These include the "Leica C Twist," a camera case with an innovative design that attaches to the camera's tripod mount and covers the camera body; the "Leica C Snap," a camera protector with a unique design that enhances protection against scratches and impacts; the "Leica C Clutch," an elegant clutch bag with a carrying strap that can also hold small accessories in addition to the camera body; the "Leica C Case," a sophisticated leather case that securely protects the camera body and features a magnetic closure for quick shooting in any situation; and the "Leica C Pouch," a graceful black case designed to wrap around the camera.
