Leica Camera Japan has announced the production of a special limited edition Leica X2, the "Leica X2 5296 Kentaro Kobuchi Edition," a collaboration with Kentaro Kobuchi of Kobukuro, with only 52 units to be produced.

Pre-orders Begin September 11th at Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building 8F


The newly announced "Leica X2 5296 Kentaro Kobuchi Edition" is a special limited model realized through a collaboration with Kentaro Kobuchi, a Leica user, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building. In honor of Kentaro Kobuchi's name, only 52 units will be produced.

The "Leica X2 5296 Kentaro Kobuchi Edition" features a titanium-colored Leica X2 body clad in dove blue leather. The design is accented by a polka-dot pattern on the flash cover with the number "52" engraved. Notably, the top cover is inscribed with "5296 Kentaro Kobuchi," and the rear of the camera bears "5296 KOBUKURO."

This model will be available for pre-order from Wednesday, September 11th, to Monday, September 30th, at the Isetan Residence/Leica Corner on the 8th floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building (product delivery is scheduled for around December). Purchasers will receive a photo frame with an original print and a message card from Kentaro Kobuchi as a gift.

Additionally, during the same period, a mini photo exhibition titled "Leica X2 5296 Kentaro Kobuchi Exhibition," showcasing works shot by Kentaro Kobuchi with the Leica X2, will be held at the Residence Gallery corner on the 8th floor of the Men's Building.

A Limited-Time "LEICA GALLERY" Held at Sogo Yokohama Store, 2F


Following the successful opening of "Leica Sogo Yokohama Store" on the 5th floor of the Sogo Yokohama Store in May, a "LEICA GALLERY" showcasing a curated selection of Leica's latest lineup will be held from August 20th (Tuesday) to 26th (Monday) in the promotional space in front of the central escalator on the 2nd floor of the Sogo Yokohama Store. Concurrently, a photo exhibition "Light in Monochrome" by Tomio Seike, known for his works imbued with a serene atmosphere, shot with the Leica M Monochrom, will also be held during the same period.

Furthermore, from Tuesday, August 20th, to Monday, September 16th, for four weeks, Leica and the Sogo Yokohama Store will collaborate on "LEICA x SOGO YOKOHAMA MODE," adorning the store's VP (Visual Promotion) displays across four promotional spaces within the store.
