This year marks the 40th anniversary of Citizen's light-powered watches. To commemorate this milestone, Citizen is launching the "Eco-Drive Bluetooth," which syncs with smartphones. While retaining the clean aesthetic of an analog watch, it incorporates features that enhance convenience through smartphone connectivity.

Pair the watch with your smartphone via the official app to receive and display accurate time information from the internet. Beyond automatic time correction, it allows for easy time adjustments to 316 cities worldwide. Notifications for calls, emails, and major social media messages from platforms like Facebook and LINE are conveyed through subtle hand movements, sounds, or vibrations.


The "Eco-Drive Bluetooth," a fusion of technology and analog design, offers a glimpse into the next generation of smartwatches.


Furthermore, the most remarkable aspect of this model is its realization of this system through Eco-Drive technology. While the short battery life of smartwatches is a common challenge, this product overcomes it through enhanced movement power efficiency. It converts even faint light from the sun or indoor sources into electrical energy, storing it for power. A full charge provides up to approximately four years of operation (when in power-save mode). Crucially, it eliminates the need for regular battery replacements or daily charging via cable.
