The new "RICOH PX" series inherits the image quality philosophy that has always underpinned Ricoh digital cameras, while being developed for easy, casual shooting in all aspects of daily life.

Its most notable feature is its waterproofing, equivalent to JIS/IEC protection class IP68, allowing use at depths of up to 3 meters for 60 minutes, along with dustproofing. It is also shock-resistant to drops from 1.5 meters, so you can use it with confidence in any situation, whether outdoors with dirt and dust, or in the rain and water. Of course, it can also be washed with water if it gets dirty. The body is equipped with a high-definition 2.7-inch, 230,000-dot LCD monitor that offers a wide field of view and high contrast. It also features an anti-reflective coating that not only protects against scratches but also resists fingerprints and ensures high visibility even in bright outdoor conditions, providing peace of mind.

With a quick startup time of 1.4 seconds, you won't miss a photo opportunity. Even during normal shooting, it automatically adjusts to the optimal settings based on the subject, enabling swift and simple photography. It also features "Subject Tracking AF," which allows you to capture in-focus shots of moving subjects.

"Premium Shot" Supports Up to 28 Different Scenes

The 16-megapixel high-definition CCD sensor delivers high-resolution image quality. By employing the "Smooth Imaging Engine VI" image processing engine, it can capture images with reduced noise even in low-light conditions. Additionally, the sensor-shift image stabilization function prevents camera shake that can occur during slow shutter speeds, such as in night scenes or indoors, or when using zoom. The camera features a 5x optical zoom, covering focal lengths from a wide-angle 28mm to a telephoto 140mm (35mm equivalent). Using its super-resolution technology, it can achieve telephoto shots up to approximately 280mm with minimal loss in image quality. Furthermore, when combined with digital zoom, it can even achieve ultra-telephoto shots up to 1,344mm (280mm x 4.8).

In addition to 40MB of internal memory, it supports SD memory cards, SDHC memory cards up to 32GB, and even "Eye-Fi cards" equipped with wireless LAN functionality.

The body measures a compact W100 x H55 x D21.3mm and features a completely flat design with no protrusions, prioritizing ease of storage in pockets and portability. It is available in Lime Green, Champagne Silver, and Black. The optional protection jacket, which is non-slip and helps absorb shock and prevent scratches, comes in a colorful array of White, Pink, Blue, Yellow, and Brown, allowing you to switch jackets to match your mood or occasion.
