MUJI BOOKS × MISATO BAN: A 20XX Yard Sale
Beginning September 19 (Saturday), to commemorate the first anniversary of the MUJI Ginza Matsuzakaya store's opening, we will host an exhibition titled "MUJI BOOKS × MISATO BAN: A 20XX Yard Sale – 100 MUJI Items from My Room –." This event will feature a fictional open-air market curated by artist Misato Ban.

“I’m holding a yard sale in my garden in September 20XX.”
Within the MUJI Ginza Matsuzakaya store, "MUJI BOOKS" is a curated book corner offering titles that complement daily life, spark new ideas and enrich the mind, and are worth cherishing for years to come.
It has been a year since UTRECHT began its direction of this space.
It has become a place where visitors can stop by for a moment of respite while shopping in Ginza.
Artist Misato Ban's drawing book "100 Things in My Room." (Published by UTRECHT in 2009) depicts 100 cherished items from her own room, and features a MUJI plate that she has been using for over a decade.
For Misato Ban, a long-time MUJI user, the brand represents a permanent, universal standard that is always close at hand.
For this exhibition, the display space is envisioned as "20XX," presenting current MUJI products as if they have become antiques after many years, imagining their passage through time.
Here, on a lawn, furniture and household goods are arranged, creating a futuristic open-air market.
One hundred MUJI items, customized with paint and embroidery by Misato Ban, will appear with an enhanced sense of intimacy, having passed through this imagined timeline.
This is an imaginative endeavor that invites contemplation of the future while observing the present.
In addition to your usual MUJI shopping, we invite you to enjoy this "yard sale" from the future, set in 20XX.

Special Event: “here and there shop” Now Open
To celebrate the release of the latest issue, "here and there vol.9 HER LIFE," from editor Yoko Hayashi's publishing project "here and there," a special event, "here and there shop," is being held until Sunday, September 27, in the gallery space of "NOW IDeA by UTRECHT," an art book shop in Aoyama.
