Featuring new and previously unreleased works, alongside "Kyouei Design" products.
Kyouei Design Exhibition Held at SFT GALLERY
Designer Kouichi Okamoto, who fluidly traverses the boundaries of art, music, and design to create original works, will present the "Kyouei Design Exhibition" at SFT GALLERY within Souvenir From Tokyo, located on the B1 floor of The National Art Center, Tokyo, from Wednesday, January 23rd to Monday, March 25th.

Focus on a Unique World Where Art and Music Converge
Kouichi Okamoto's unique creativity is continuously embodied in the products of his own "Kyouei Design" label. His original and forward-thinking designs have garnered significant acclaim both domestically and internationally. Currently, his products are handled by design brands and shops in over 30 countries worldwide, with some pieces selected for museum collections.
The "Kyouei Design Exhibition" will showcase Kyouei Design products, including works recently unveiled in London that have not yet been released in Japan. Visitors can experience the expansive, unique world where art and music merge.
Kouichi Okamoto | OKAMOTO Kouichi
Founder of Kyouei Design. Born in Shizuoka Prefecture in 1970. Began releasing music on the Dutch techno label "X-Trax" in 1997. Established "Kyouei Design" in 2006. Held a solo exhibition, "two days and four products," at The Shizuoka Prefectural Museum of Art. In 2010, his work was included in the opening exhibition "state of things" at the Design Museum Holon in Israel.
In the same year, his "glass tank" was acquired for the collection of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Furthermore, he was selected as one of "100 Artists" for the "NOVA" arts festival held in Brazil that year, and was again selected the following year, 2011, marking two consecutive years. In 2012, he held a solo exhibition, "switch - Kouichi Okamoto's Playful Design -," at the Pola Museum Annex in Tokyo. He also exhibited his "musical table" and "lighting chair" at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, where he also performed live, further expanding his international presence.
