The First MUJI Store, MUJI Aoyama, Reimagined!
Found MUJI Aoyama Opens
In 1983, the year the Family Computer was released, Tokyo Disneyland opened, and YMO disbanded, MUJI Aoyama first opened its doors. Now, it has reopened as Found MUJI Aoyama, the starting point for MUJI's initiative, 'Found MUJI,' on November 11th.

The fruits of MUJI's ongoing 'Found MUJI' activities are gathered in one store.
Introducing daily necessities 'found' from around the world for a 'pleasant life'—both now and for the future—and inviting visitors to 'discover' their value firsthand.──Found MUJI Aoyama begins its journey as a new kind of store, offering inspiration and information.
From its inception, MUJI's product development has been rooted not in 'creating from scratch,' but in 'searching' and 'discovering' within everyday life.
The company continues to find 'good daily necessities' from Japan and around the world, infusing them with MUJI's essence to re-examine and refine essential items into their necessary forms. This approach has garnered support not only in Japan but globally.
'Found MUJI' is the expression of this product development philosophy, and the initiative has been expanding its scope since 2003.

The newly opened Found MUJI Aoyama is born from a desire to cherish not only a wide selection of items and functional pursuits, but also, in contrast, the warmth of handcrafted objects, the lives of those who use them, and the cultures they represent.
The products at Found MUJI Aoyama refine one's eye for quality and, while preserving the essence of each item, enhance them for contemporary living. They, in turn, sharpen the eyes and sensibilities of visitors, gradually improving their lives.
