Maserati has announced the MC20 Cielo, its new convertible model. It will have its world premiere at a global event held in Italy on May 25, 2022, local time.

Named Cielo (Sky) in reference to its convertible nature, the MC20 Cielo was unveiled on May 16, coinciding with International Light Day.

The MC20 Cielo's name reflects its characteristics, including its nature as a sports car. "MC" refers to Maserati Corse (racing), "20" signifies 2020, the start of a new era for the Maserati brand, and "Cielo," the Italian word for "sky," was added last. This combination of three words expresses the model's concept.

Like the coupe version, the MC20 Cielo was developed at the Maserati Innovation Lab in Modena, Italy, and is produced at the Viale Ciro Menotti plant. Pricing and other details are yet to be announced, and we look forward to further information.
