Glamorous and Classical Staging Evokes Early Works

First released in 1964 and now celebrating its half-century mark, the Pirelli calendar is known for its artistic yet sensual motifs. Over the years, it has been shot by thirty-three distinguished photographers, including the renowned Karl Lagerfeld.

Steven Meisel, who directed this year's shoot, is one of the most successful fashion photographers globally, currently helming shoots for Italian Vogue and numerous other fashion publications. Styling was overseen by Carine Roitfeld, former editor-in-chief of French Vogue and a continuing force at the forefront of fashion. Renowned makeup artist Pat McGrath also joined the team.

The photoshoot took place in a New York studio this past May, featuring twelve models who are icons of fashion advertising and also active in film, including Adriana Lima and Isabeli Fontana. In line with previous editions, the images celebrate the absolute allure of women through vibrant, captivating visuals.

As Steven Meisel commented, "The aim was to create a calendar that felt like twelve distinct posters, each depicting twelve women immersed in sensuality." The result is a collection of glamorous and classical works, reminiscent of the calendar's early editions.

Unfortunately, there are no plans for general sale; this premium calendar is distributed exclusively to Pirelli's key business partners.
