The First Rear-Wheel-Drive Continental GT Model
In 2025, marking 100 years since the birth of Bentley's first Supersports, the fourth generation of the Supersports has been unveiled.
The project originated from an idea conceived in September 2024 by a small engineering team who theorized about the dynamic behavior of a rear-wheel-drive Continental GT weighing less than two tons.
The team was subsequently granted permission to build a single prototype, which took to the track just six weeks later. With the concept proven, development was approved under strict secrecy.
To maintain project secrecy, the codename "Mildred" was adopted, honoring Mildred Mary Petre, born in 1985, who set records on land, sea, and air as a racing driver, powerboat racer, and pilot.
"Supersports," a name of particular significance in Bentley's history. The first model, born in 1925, was based on the 3-liter model, featuring an enhanced engine and a lighter chassis, becoming the first Bentley to exceed 100 mph (approximately 160 km/h).
After decades of slumber, it was revived in 2009. Positioned at the pinnacle of the first-generation Continental GT, it also became the first two-seater model in the Continental series. Subsequently, in 2017, a third-generation Supersports based on the second-generation Continental GT was also introduced.
The newly produced fourth-generation Supersports is also based on the current Continental GT. It is a driver-focused model with a two-seater cabin and a total weight under two tons.
The powertrain employs a pure internal combustion engine. The newly developed 4-liter V8 twin-turbo engine produces a maximum output of 666 ps and a peak torque of 800 Nm, paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. It is expected to achieve a top speed of 310 km/h and a 0-100 km/h acceleration of 3.7 seconds.
Unlike the all-wheel-drive system of the base Continental GT, a key feature is its rear-wheel drive via an electronically controlled limited-slip differential (eLSD). Incidentally, this marks the first rear-wheel-drive model of the Continental GT, excluding the GT3 race car.
The car is equipped with carbon-ceramic brakes, new 22-inch lightweight forged wheels co-developed with Manthey Racing, and a standard Akrapovič full-length titanium exhaust system.
The exterior is designed to maximize downforce and reduce weight. The new front bumper integrates the largest front splitter ever seen on a production Bentley, directing cooling air to the engine and front brakes.
In addition, dive planes on the outer edges of the front bumper, a new rear diffuser, and an integrated fixed rear spoiler combine to enhance the sporty exterior and contribute to generating over 300 kg more downforce than the Continental GT Speed, making it the Bentley with the most downforce in its history.
Weight reduction extends to the roof, with carbon fiber panels that maintain structural rigidity while lowering the center of gravity.

The interior features a two-seater cabin with newly designed sports seats, laid out to position the driver lower within the car. The rear seat space has been replaced by carbon fiber and leather shells, with customizable interior finishes available.
All 500 units of the Supersports will be individually numbered, and customers can request specific numbers. The body color palette offers 24 performance-oriented shades as standard, with further bespoke options available through Mulliner and other services.

Orders for the Supersports will open in March 2026, with deliveries scheduled to begin in early 2027. Sales in Japan are currently under discussion. We look forward to future developments.
