A Substantial Price Reduction

MiTo, a name derived from Italian for myth or legend, and also from its design in Milan (Mi) and production in Turin (To), has been a unique, small-animal-like model and the most compact in the Alfa Romeo brand. Since its launch in Japan in May 2009, over 4,500 units have been sold.

This renewal sees the reintroduction of the "Sprint" as the new entry-grade model. With revised equipment and a lower price, the lineup will now feature two models: the "Sprint" and the "Competizione."


There is no difference in specifications between the two grades; both are equipped with a 1.4-liter turbo engine delivering a maximum output of 99 kW (135 ps) at 5,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 190 Nm (19.4 kgm) at 4,500 rpm in normal mode. The transmission is exclusively the dry dual-clutch "Alfa TCT," a first for Alfa Romeo in the MiTo.


The "Competizione" now comes standard with leather seats, which were previously an optional extra, and its base vehicle price has also been reduced compared to the previous model. Additionally, it includes standard features such as paddle shifters, exclusive 17-inch alloy wheels, and a rear roof spoiler.


Including the 5% consumption tax, the price for the "Sprint" is ¥2,614,500, and for the "Competizione" it is ¥2,908,500.
