Advance Ticket Sales Begin!
The 42nd Tokyo Motor Show will be held for 10 days from December 2nd to 12th, 2011. Advance ticket sales have already begun, four months before the event.

Sales Online to Promote Ticketless Entry
The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association has launched ticket sales for the 42nd Tokyo Motor Show online, one month earlier than usual, starting four months before the event.
This year, the "e-tix Online Ticket System" has again been introduced to enhance visitor convenience. While the basic procedure is to purchase tickets on the official website (http://www.tokyo-motorshow.com) and bring a printed copy to the venue, visitors with mobile phones equipped with "Osaifu-Keitai®" can enter ticketlessly.

Additionally, "SMART MOBILITY CITY 2011," which will showcase the role of automobiles in the fields of next-generation transportation and energy, will be held within the venue of this Tokyo Motor Show.

"SMART MOBILITY CITY"
This exhibition, themed "The Future of People, Cars, and Cities Realized by Cutting-Edge Information, Environmental, and Energy Technologies," will feature exhibits of products and vehicles that convey visions of a next-generation society, along with presentations by private companies and related organizations. Furthermore, there will be opportunities for test rides of next-generation vehicles from Japan and abroad, experiences with ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) that enhance navigation using IT, seminars by experts and engineers, and workshops for children.
Amidst growing concerns for environmental conservation and resources, automobiles are indispensable for building a sustainable society. This event will likely serve as an excellent opportunity to understand the new value of automobiles.

* On the final day, December 11th, hours are 10:00 - 18:00
Admission: 1500 yen (general), 500 yen (high school students), free for junior high school students and younger
* Advance tickets: 1300 yen (general), 400 yen (high school students). For same-day tickets, entry after 15:00 is priced the same as advance tickets.
Advance Ticket Sales Period: Monday, August 1st - Friday, December 2nd
* Entry to SMART MOBILITY CITY 2011 is free with a Tokyo Motor Show ticket.
