Multistrada 1200 S Pikes Peak Special Edition
Ducati, which achieved consecutive victories in 2010 and 2011 at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC), famously known as "The Race to the Clouds" held in Colorado, USA. To commemorate these victories, the "Multistrada 1200 S Pikes Peak Special Edition" will be released in Japan. In Japan, this special model will be introduced as a limited run of 15 units, as an early import MY2012 vehicle eligible for registration within 2011, available as a "Web-Exclusive Reservation Application Model."

The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, first held in 1916, is an automobile and motorcycle race held annually in Colorado around the US Independence Day in July. It is famous in America as a historic car race, second only to the Indy 500.
The "Multistrada 1200 S" is popular as a "dream Ducati," condensing the essence of four different motorcycles into one, switchable with the touch of a button between sportbike, long-distance tourer, urban, and road enduro modes.
Those wishing to purchase the "Multistrada 1200 S Pikes Peak Special Edition" will fill out the required information on the reservation application form via the "Web Reservation Application Page" on START DUCATI.jp, as detailed below. Subsequently, they will print out the "Reservation Application Form" sent to their registered email address, or bring the "Reservation Application Form" mailed to their home, to a designated Ducati Network store to finalize the contract, marking a completely new purchasing system.
A counter will also be installed on the dedicated site to display the remaining number of available units and the actual number of reservation applications (including deals in progress).
