Maison Martin Margiela welcomes two new additions to its "REPLICA" fragrance collection. To commemorate the launch, the Maison Martin Margiela Tokyo boutique will host the photographic gallery "#smellslikememories" from Saturday, December 13th to Sunday, December 28th.

One New Fragrance is Inspired by Japanese Tea Ceremony

The "REPLICA" fragrance series was born in 2012, inspired by the "REPLICA" capsule collection of ready-to-wear and accessories. To date, six fragrances have been released, each designed to evoke personal memories and recollections by appealing to individual emotions, impressions, and subconscious thoughts.

Two new scents now join the fragrance collection. "Tea Escape," inspired by Japanese tea ceremony, blends the refreshing aroma of green tea with floral notes of osmanthus and jasmine. Pink pepper adds a spicy accent, while a creamy note of puffed rice gently envelops the composition in the base.

"At the Barber's" is a men's fragrance that evokes the nostalgic atmosphere of a traditional barbershop, characterized by aromatic lavender reminiscent of soap foam. Fern is uniquely and modernly reinterpreted, with a subtle scent of leather and wood.

Available from Saturday, December 13th at Maison Martin Margiela directly managed stores and Dover Street Market Ginza.

In 2013, Maison Martin Margiela also held the photographic gallery "#smellslikememories" worldwide, collecting images and memories associated with scents upon the launch of the "REPLICA" fragrances.

This exhibition will feature 50 photographs from "#smellslikememories" previously shown in Paris, London, Milan, and New York, alongside new works from 50 artists based in Japan, including photographers, artists, art directors, architects, and writers.
