Hawaii's Malie Organics Opens First Direct-Retail Store in Japan

Malie Organics, the organic spa brand born on Kauai, Hawaii, has opened its first directly managed store in Japan on Saturday, September 6th, in Daikanyama. To commemorate this occasion, Hawaiian bath salts and beauty oils will be offered in Japan for the first time.

Distilling and Extracting Plants Blessed by Nature with Unique Methods

The brand's roots lie in Kauai, Hawaii, the oldest island in the Hawaiian chain, where nature remains untouched, nurtured by its rainforests. The brand name "Malie" means "calm," "tranquil," or "smooth" in Hawaiian, embodying a wish for inner peace and healing through the serene natural beauty of Hawaii.

Ingredients are sourced from organic farms operated by the company, contracted organic farms, and precious plants that grow wild throughout the Hawaiian Islands, including its rainforests. The products are characterized by their pure extraction of plant essences using "hydrosol distillation," a method that preserves plant extracts at a molecular level.

The Daikanyama store offers a diverse range of items, including body creams, body polishes, oils, reed diffusers, and soy candles. In conjunction with this opening, Malie Organics is introducing Hawaiian bath salts and beauty oils to Japan for the first time. The Hawaiian bath salts cleanse pores, while blended aloe vera and kukui nut oils moisturize and nourish, leading to soft, smooth skin. The oil, which can be used on both skin and hair, absorbs quickly, imparting a silky sheen. Both products are available in five fragrances: Plumeria, Pikake, Koke'e, Mango Nectar, and Coconut Vanilla.
