Part Eleven: "Busy Lips"
May.
The verdant hues deepen, and the early summer nights carry a scent that passes by with elegant swiftness. For some reason, it fills me with a sense of excitement. The fragrance of summer. It's already beginning to drift in, here and there.

Along with the scent of burgeoning green in May, we must be mindful of UV rays. The sun's rays in May, which we can easily forget amidst the pleasant breeze and air, are not to be underestimated.
While the delightful sunshine might tempt us to neglect sun protection, it's crucial to properly shield your face. Especially your defenseless lips. Even with regular lip balm, you might find your lips feeling dry and chapped before you know it.
From this point on, it's essential to consistently apply UV lip balm.
Even so, for lips that have become chapped, a gentle exfoliation is in order.
My current favorite, Chanel's lip scrub palette, "Les Beiges de Chanel Healthy Glow Lip Balm," is a wonderful product that gently removes excess skin. This elegant Chanel palette contains everything needed for lip care: a scrub, balm, and a lightly tinted gloss.
Dry lips are neither visually appealing nor conducive to a good mood.
Lips should always retain a moist, plump fullness, as if holding nectar.
Ideally, there should be no need for excess skin.
Lips tend to reveal any laxity in our daily habits. They are a sensitive area. Because their metabolism is faster than the skin on the face, the more attention you give them, the more beautifully they respond.
We bring food to our mouths through our lips, and we release words through our lips. Lips are always busy. In the midst of this busyness, it's a part of us that we can enjoy caring for, applying our favorite lipstick, and reveling in the result.
And so today, while cherishing my busy lips, I enjoy their care, and inhale the green scent of early summer evenings deeply through them and into my lungs.
