The 1st Japan Fragrance Awards Announced!


To commemorate October 1st, "Perfume Day," the winners of Japan's first "Japan Fragrance Awards" (organized by the Japan Fragrance Association) were announced on October 1, 2010.

Chloé Eau de Parfum Wins Ladies' Grand Prize and Design Award!


Fragrances entered in the "1st Japan Fragrance Awards" were judged in men's and ladies' categories, further divided into Luxury (retail distribution under 50 stores), Selective (under 200 stores), and Popular (over 200 stores). The results of judging by media representatives and fragrance experts, along with public votes from the Japan Fragrance Association website, were announced.

In the Luxury Ladies' category (under 50 stores), judged by media and fragrance experts, "Chloé Eau de Parfum," which expresses various "rose" variations, won both the Ladies' Grand Prize and the Ladies' Design Award. The fragrance, which effortlessly conveys the cool sophistication of the Chloé woman, captured the public's attention.

Paco Rabanne 1 Million Eau de Toilette (top left photo) won the Men's Grand Prize and Men's Design Award in the Selective category (under 200 stores), judged by media and fragrance experts. Its unique and powerful scent and packaging caught the eye at the judging venue.

Jeanne Arthes Love Generation Sexy Eau de Toilette (top right photo) won the Ladies' Grand Prize and Ladies' Design Award in the Popular category (over 200 stores), judged by media and fragrance experts. It offered a fresh scent as an introduction to fragrances.

Furthermore, in the public vote on the Japan Fragrance Association website, "Love Passport Romeo Sweet Key Eau de Parfum" from the Popular category was selected for men, and "Guerlain IDYLLE (Idylle Eau de Toilette)" from the Luxury category was selected for ladies.

With this "1st Japan Fragrance Awards" as an opportunity, we hope to deepen interest in fragrances and build anticipation for the second awards next year.
