For a Christmas filled with light, perfumer Olivier Cresp has created a new fragrance within a bottle with a black base. A limited edition, reflecting Issey Miyake's aesthetic sensibilities, will be released on Friday, November 12th, to envelop the 2010 Christmas season with surprise.

Black x Gold Expressing the Festive Spirit of Christmas
When placed together, the bottles for L'EAU D'ISSEY NOIRE ABSOLUE for women and men are reminiscent of chess pieces. While both designs are abstract, the women's bottle is characterized by simple elegance, and the men's bottle by a dignified presence.
L'EAU D'ISSEY NOIRE ABSOLUE
The familiar conical bottle is rendered in deep black, with the cap representing a drop of water. This transparent cap evokes the soul of a pure star shining in the deep black night sky, or perhaps the moon, or a clear mirror. The deep black bottle, completely opaque, is mysterious as if hiding a secret. The fragrance is a floral scent with an amber trail.

The bottle's form is predominantly linear, with gentle curves softening the strictness of the straight lines. The transparent cap stands out in rich contrast against the black bottle, creating a design of ultimate elegance. The fragrance is a woody scent with an amber trail.
