Maki Kanazawa (born 1981). Moved to France in 1999. Relocated to Switzerland in 2001, where he qualified as a watchmaker at the watchmaking school in Le Locle, followed by studies in watch restoration and complex watchmaking. Awarded the Julius Baer Prize in 2010. After apprenticeships at the workshops of Vincent Bérard and Kari Voutilainen, he became a watch restorer at the International Museum of Horology in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 2013.
