A new standard for sake? Savor Japan's coolness with "Natsuzake" (summer sake).

Japan's sake industry boasts over 1,500 breweries nationwide.

As Japan garners global attention for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the trends surrounding sake are gradually shifting.

Amidst this, the most timely keyword right now is "Natsuzake" (summer sake).

What is "Natsuzake"?

"Natsuzake" refers to unique ways of enjoying sake in the summer, such as sake served on the rocks with ice, or sake highballs mixed with ginger ale or soda.

It can be enjoyed with a wide variety of sakes, including low-alcohol types that are delicious chilled from the refrigerator, and sparkling sake.

This is a new proposal to break the conventional image of sake as a winter drink and instead savor the coolness of summer with sake.

At the "Japan Sake Information Center" in Minato-ku, Tokyo, you can enjoy recommended summer sakes from the Japan Sake Brewers Association for a limited time. Why not give it a try?
